Director Ezhil recently proved why he is considered to be a stickler for deadlines. If sources are to be believed, the director was on the verge of completing his film Vellaikaara Durai, starring Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya in the lead, as per schedule, when nature decided to play spoilsport. However, undeterred by the problems caused by a cyclone, the director pushed his team to overcome the problem and still managed to complete shooting his films portions on time. When Times of India got in touch with director Ezhil, he said, The incident took place when we had just three days to complete shooting my film. I had found a huge set that had been erected for a Telugu film and chose to use it for filming this last portion. Just when things were in place, a storm that crossed the coast that evening ripped the set apart. I was shocked and almost in tears because on one of the days I had combination scenes to be shot which involved over 15 artists. If I didnt shoot those portions then, getting all of them together again on a single day would be difficult. But my art director rose to the occasion. He said he would reconstruct the entire set in two days if I could give him around 125 people. I did and he delivered. We finished the portions on time. Now, even the films re-recording is over.
